Summer Shimmer

A palette of silver, Tiffany Blue and white provided an elegant floral story for another Thallo summer wedding. The bride requested clean, simple florals in cool shades of white and blue. Taking her desires into account, Thallo then suggested a modern interpretation of classic romance using shades of white, tiffany blue, and spring green to visually cool and delight guests at the summer celebration.

The bride's bouquet featured a collection of white and ivory cymbidium orchids, both standard and miniature, accented with clusters of light green viburnam and tiffany blue bouquet jewels in the classic round shape. Collared with deep green galax leaves, the stems were wrapped in satin ribbon to coordinate with her gown, and embellished with beads and jewels accordingly.

Attendants carried simple nosegays consisting of fresh green hydrangea, white cymbidium orchids and trachelium. The bride's mother, who had impeccable taste, provided special ribbon to trim each stem wrap.

Groomsmen wore handsome boutonnieres featuring a single miniature cymbidium, a tiffany blue bauble and a stem wrapped in black satin with turquoise wire detail.

Guest tables featured silver candlesticks procured by the bride that held turquoise pillar candles. Strands of turquoise and clear beads added sparkle and texture. To add more interest at table level, Thallo designed petite containers featuring a few cymbidium blooms, delicate foliage and beaded accents.

The head table was the focal point of the ballroom. The bride and groom, maid of honor and best man sat on the upper tier while the rest of the bridal party dined below. Tiffany Blue Lamour linen, tons of candlelight and petite arrangements of white cymbidium orchids marched down the tables' edge while two "trees" of curly willow flanked each side. Hanging from the curly willow were garlands of white orchids and strands of turquoise beads, all nestled in a base of white hydrangea.

The escort card table was designed with a Thallo philosophy in mind... well placed details and repetition provide maximum visual impact.

The parent's tables...

This celebration is a shining example of how staying true to a solid color scheme, repetition as a design tool and a monobotanical floral palette are elements that create a truly memorable event.
